The Warrior Group Unveiled
The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of heroes who will separate from the main group to undertake their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.
This warrior group consists of Teor (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
The Reason for Division
Given a large ensemble, it was obvious from the beginning that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.
At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might look mismatched, but the actions of the third episode demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
First, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.
A former ally of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, entering the secret base, attacking the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.
The traitor then cleared his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each adventurer has a specific drive to exit the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as the companion and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
- Kattigan has experience in Timmony and cautions that it is a hostile environment.
- The strong character and The healer, having defied his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- But, their status as important members in House Halovar could help the team reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are sought by the powers that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and The healer defied House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.
This leaves them little choice but to journey toward the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.
